Spring has sprung!

Spring is one of my favourite seasons: flowers bloom and trees start to grow. The days become longer and warmer. It's as if life becomes a little lighter. It brings me a hopeful feeling, a feeling of light and positivity and gives me a sense of peace.
It's an exciting time in the shop, as Spring means a burst of colour and new products and companies to introduce.
As we move into Spring, I like to change the fragrance in the house and try to get that feeling of bringing the outside in and filling your home with a clean, fresh scent. Lilyflame is a home fragrance company that I have sold for approx 10 years and I am besotted with their fragrances. They always have a gorgeous selection of candles that are perfect for this time of year and I like to order the ones that are relevant to the season. So my favourites for Spring are Spring Time, Daffodils & Dandelions and Daisy Dip. Do you have your favourites for each season?
Did you know that April is National Garden Month? A time to get out and explore the beauty of gardens. As the Spring days warm up, I love pottering about in my garden, cleaning up what winter has left us and getting the garden ready for use again. I don't really know what I'm doing, I suppose I would class myself as a 'have-a-go' gardener. Growing seeds, making up hanging baskets and pots and watching it all grow and change.
When I was out sourcing new products for the shop, I came across a great company called Wrendale Designs. They have the most adorable greeting cards, stationery and giftware which all centre around the characterful artwork of Hannah Dale. But what caught my eye was their gorgeous Garden Collection. Stunning artwork, beautiful colour palette and high quality design-led products which often feature added little touches to make them extra special. And with lockdowns bringing about a renewed love for our gardens, I think it's nice to have things that give us a little touch of luxury. I was quick to grab a pair of the gorgeous new gardening gloves as soon as they arrived, as I just knew that they would be loved by everybody and I do love a nice new pair of gardening gloves!
So check out the Wrendale collection in the shop and online.
So this Spring, take the time to notice everything springing back to life, the fresh new scents, the tiny little buds. Take adventures in nature and notice all the signs of new life. It is a truly magical time that shouldn't be missed by being caught up in our busy lives.
I started this blog with one of my favourite poems from Wordsworth, so let's end it with some words from Shakespeare....
"The earth has music for those that listen".  William Shakespeare
Happy Spring time to you all xxx
